1983. This scarf, used at feminist Passover seders to bind the women together, was created by Patricia De Rosa at Phyllis Chesler's request. Since its creation, the 'sacred schmatta' has been used every year, even though Phyllis, fearing that it might become idolatrous, suggested that it be burned. Letty Cottin Pogrebin was horrified and saved the scarf.
